第六届“用英语讲中国故事大会”丨听选手讲述沈阳百年中街的故事

　　沈阳选区正式启动！

　　这次活动邀请到李同学，用英语讲述关于沈阳百年老街--中街的故事。

　　"When people think of Shenyang, they think of Shenyang Middle Street. It’s not just a commercial street; it's a living symbol of our city's history and vitality. There is a saying here: 'You haven't truly experienced Shenyang until you've walked along the bustling Middle Street.'"

　　“提到沈阳，人们总会想到中街。它不仅是一条商业街，更是这座城市历史与活力的象征。这里有一句俗语：‘没走过热闹的中街，就不算真正体验过沈阳。’”

　　历史与现代元素的融合

　　"One of its most distinctive features is the blend of historical architecture. The street was built according to the 'front court, rear market' layout during the Qin Dynasty, and it has witnessed nearly 400 years of wind and rain. The ancient buildings with flying eaves and upturned corners, and the modern skyscrapers stand side by side, creating a unique urban landscape. Walking on the street, surrounded by century - old shops and the lively crowd, you can almost hear the echoes of ancient cries and the footsteps of history. It reminds us of  the long - standing commercial heritage and the unique cultural charm that Shenyang possesses."

　　“最吸引人的是历史建筑与现代元素的融合。中街始建于秦代‘前朝后市’格局，历经近400年风雨。飞檐翘角的古建筑与摩天大楼比肩而立，形成独特的城市景观。漫步街头，百年老店与熙攘人群交织，仿佛能听见历史的叫卖声与脚步声，感受到沈阳深厚的商业底蕴与文化魅力。”

　　文化传统的守护

　　"But the charm of Middle Street doesn't stop at its architecture. Today, Shenyang has found a brilliant way to integrate this heritage with modern life. We’ve turned the traditional elements into 'Cultural Creative Products'. Now, you can see young people wearing scarves with patterns of ancient buildings, using stickers of time - honored brands on their laptops, or even enjoying ice creams with the flavor of traditional snacks. By making history tangible, wearable, and shareable on social media, we are ensuring that the stories of our ancestors are never forgotten. We are not just preserving a street; we are keeping a cultural tradition alive."

　　“但中街的魅力不止于建筑。如今，沈阳巧妙地将传统元素融入现代生活，开发出‘文创产品’：年轻人戴着古建筑图案的围巾，用老字号贴纸装饰笔记本，甚至品尝传统小吃口味的冰淇淋。通过让历史变得可触摸、可穿戴、可分享，我们让祖先的故事永不褪色——我们守护的不仅是一条街，更是一种文化传统。”
