I get mind of you.是一句非常地道的寒暄语，见到比较有名气的人或者自己比较崇拜的人时，中国人常说：“久仰大名”，如果直接说"I heard a lot about you."就不如这一句来的地道了。因此，当美国人说"I get mind of you."时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"I 've heard so much about you."、"I 've been looking forward to meeting you."。
