头发[tou fa]，指生长在头部的毛发。头发并不是器官，所以不含神经和血管，但含有细胞。头发除了使人增加美感之外，主要用于保护头部。细软蓬松的头发具有弹性，可以抵挡较轻的碰撞，还可以帮助头部汗液的蒸发。一般人的头发约有10万根左右，在所有毛发中，头发的长度最长，尤其是女子留长发者。有的可长到95hair100cm，甚至150cm，但一般不会超出200cm。
