You are working for a company.You need to take some time off work and want to ask your manager about this.

Write a letter to your manager.In your letter:

explain why you want to take time off work

give details of the amount of time you need

suggest how your work could be covered while you are away

Write at least 150 words.不低于一百五十词

Dear Mr Mclaren,

I am writing to ask your permission to take a week’s leave from work starting from 07th November 2019.As you know,I am doing my PhD at Monash University and I am in my final term.A week’s leave would allow me to complete my exams and I am hoping that you would grant me the leave.

我写信想寻求您的允许，从2009年的十一月七日开始请假一周。您知道，我目前在莫纳什大学攻读博士学位，目前在准备我期末。一周的时间就能够允许我完成我的考试，所以我希望您给允许我请个假。

The reason for taking time off work is to prepare and set for my final exams which will begin on November 08th.I understand the inconvenience this might cause to you but I have already talked to Jack and he is ready to share some of my responsibilities during my absence.This article is from Laokaoya website.Moreover,I will be available to receive emergency calls from the office and would check my emails and perhaps reply to the important ones during the interim.

我想请假的原因就是想准备我十一月八日的期末考。我明白这个会对您造成不便，不过我已经和Jack说明了，他已经准备好了分担一部分我请假时候的工作责任。另外，我会随时准备着来自办公室的紧急电话，也会查收邮件，也许还会回复一些这期间的重要信件。

I would really appreciate your permission to grant me the unpaid leave from 07th November to 13th November 2019.I will join the office the next day.

如果您能够允许我申请2019年11月7日到13日的无薪假期的话，我会非常感激您。我会第二天就进办公室工作。
