在大部分考生备考雅思写作的过程中，会把大部分小作文的精力放在数据类图表上。然而纵观2018年上半年的考试情况，地图题的考查呈现上升趋势。这篇文章通过2018年1月6号题目去分析地图题应该包括的重要信息点及写作思路。

　　幅地图只需要客观表述什么地方有什么：

　　1）A 在B 的东方/西方/南方/北方

　　A is/ lies/ is located/ is situated in/on / to the east/west/south/north of B

　　(in 表A 在B 内部， on 表A 和B接壤，to表A 和B 分开)

　　2）A 在B….角落

　　A is at/in the south-eastern corner of B ( at 表示A 在B 外部， in表A 在B 内部)

　　3）临近马路的地区

　　The area adjacent to/ near /next to/ just off the road

　　4）A 在B 的对面

　　A is on the opposite side of B

　　根据以上的讲解，幅地图题的参考范文如下：

　　In 1985, there was a rectangle car park in the north with an exit and entrance on west and its east respectively along with a road connecting it directly to the playing field situated in the south of the yard. A smaller car park was also constructed between the bigger one and the office in the northwest corner of the school. A library can be found in the west of the yard, which is opposite to two classrooms with a normal one and a two- story one on the other side of the school.

　　第二图写三种变化

　　地图题描述的是一个地区的变化，那么“变化”词汇必须过关。变化包括两种：图形原有事物的改变，图形新添事物。

　　1）原有事物-----无

　　The original/previous/former garden

　　拆除：demolish/ knock down/ remove/ disappear

　　新建：build/ construct/ establish

　　取代：A is replaced by B

     A is demolished to give way to the construction of B

     A is converted to B

　　2）原有事物尺寸上变大/变小： narrow/shrink

　　The size of the library has been enlarged/extended/halved/reduced by half

　　3）原有事物在数量上增多或减少：

　　The number of homes reduced/ increased

　　不变：The building remains unchanged.

　　Currently, it can be observed that the smaller-scale car park has disappeared, while the bigger one has been transformed into a semicircle shape. The adjacent road has been demolished to make room for rows of trees. The old library has been converted into a learning resource centre equipped with a computer centre. It is also particularly noticeable that large numbers of classrooms with two- story classroom has been altered into a three- story one. Although the playing field is shrank, a pool and a fitting centre have been built for students to embark on extracurricular activities.

　　结尾： 总结图表变化

　　Overall, the school now is capable of accommodating more students from 1500 to 2300 and majority of facilities have been rebuilt.
