最近的天气越来越暖和了，你知道吗英语中有许多习语都包含了与“天气”有关的词，但是它们真的是用来描述天气的吗？一起来看看吧！
1.As right as rain: to feel fine and healthy.
这个习语虽然有rain这个单词，但是和下雨可是一毛钱关系都没有，（尤指病后）完全康复，十分健康。
例句：
You just need a good night's sleep, and then you'll be right as rain again.
你只要好好睡一晚上觉就会完全恢复了。
2.Be a breeze: to be very easy to do.
（常指出乎意料的）轻而易举的事
例句：
You won't have any problems with the entrance test - it's an absolute breeze.
入学考试你决不会有问题——那实在是轻而易举的事。
3.Be snowed under: to have so much to do that you are having trouble doing it all.
（因工作太多）忙得不可开交
例句：

4.Break the ice: to say or do something to make someone feel relaxed or at ease in a social setting.
这个用语已经有四个世纪的历史了。不过之前的意思是“替某人清出一条畅通的道路走”，而非现在用于社交场合的减缓紧张气氛的意思。由来可能是要从结冰的井中取水，因此必须“破冰”。另一种说法则是船只若要在结冰的河面上通行，也必须“破冰”才可以通过。说/做出打破僵局的言论或是行动者，成为ice breaker(打破僵局的人或物)。

5.Calm before the storm: the quiet, peaceful period before a moment of great activity or mayhem.
字面意思这个习语比较好理解，暴风雨前的平静，指重大活动、激烈辩论或灾难发生之前的平静。

I like to get everything done before the guests arrive and relax for a moment in the calm before the storm.
我喜欢在客人到来之前把什么都做好，然后利用暴风雨前那一刻的平静让自己放松一下。
6.Every cloud has a silver lining: There is always something positive to come out of an unpleasant or difficult situation.
Cloud 和 silver lining 都是比喻用法。苦难就像是乌云(cloud) , 遮住了阳光。而希望就好比乌云尽头那层银色的衬里 (silver lining)。中文释义就指黑暗中总有一丝光明。
例句：
I got laid off from work yesterday, but every cloud has a silver lining and now I can spend more time writing my book.
我昨天被辞退了，但是黑暗中总有一些光明，现在我有更多的时间写书了。
7.Fair-weather friend: a person who is only your friend during good times or when things are going well for you but disappears when things become difficult or you have problems.
平时跟你称兄道弟，但你一有困难就远离的人，就是俗话说的酒肉朋友，不能共患难的朋友
例句：
She was a fair-weather friend because she wasn't interested in me once I had lost my job.

8.On cloud nine: to be extremely happy.
这个习语有点意思，字面意思是九层云上，其实指的是极度快乐；欣快的幸福状态。我们中文也有类似的表达，“九霄云外”，原来中英文也有异曲同工之妙啊。

"Was Helen pleased about getting that job?" "Pleased? She was on cloud nine!"
