I want to say something about Chen Peisi, who was a very famous Chinese comic actor and really made me laugh to tears while I was a kid.

我想讲一讲关于陈佩斯的事情，他是一位非常出名的中国喜剧演员，在我小的时候真是让我笑掉大牙。

Chen was a skinhead with a kind of happy face, and a long mustache, which made me feel a little bit weird at first sight. I wasn’t aware of this actor until I saw a comedy acted by him during my elementary school life. I couldn’t remember the name of that movie, but it was pretty funny.

Chen是一位长着有点类似娃娃脸长胡须的光头哥，这点让我起初看到他的时候心里感觉怪怪的。我直到上小学的时候才从他的喜剧片中了解到他。我不太记得影片的名字了，但是的确非常搞笑。

I clearly remember there was a scene where he got a newly bought Simmons mattress with a quite reasonable price. He was like on top of the world as he felt like he got a great bargain. However, this mattress was actually a fake one, and he didn’t know that until one night he lied on the bed, and was penetrated by a long protruding spring. He was immediately sent to the hospital. You know what, this horrible thing happened again when he took his second mattress.

Well, one of the reasons I think why Chen made me laugh was that his facial expression was so exaggerating. When unpleasant things happened, he often responded in a funny way. You know, I feel like if Charlie Chaplin is the King of comedies in the west, then Chen Peisi is definitely the one in the east.
