The reservoir and canals in the city are cleaner, which would attract more visitors and yield more income.

The language I want to learn is Cantonese. It is mainly used in Guangdong Province and Hongkong. Though it shares some vocabulary with Mandarin, the two varieties have huge differences in pronunciation, grammar, and lexicon. Many Chinese in the north including me cannot understand it at all.

Well, a quiz program that I watched on TV was a program called the Puzzle Masters, which was broadcasted on JSTV, the biggest TV channel in Jiangsu Province.

It was a Chinese scientific reality and talent show originating in Germany. There were 100 contestants selected from the entire nation to show their talent on the screen. The questions designed for the contestants were extremely difficult and required much broader knowledge.

I knew her since the first day of college where we took the same course called The Introduction of Chinese Poetry. She looked no special than other classmates while we were having the first class on that day.

However, it was in a school project that she totally impressed me. It was a charitable event initiated by the Student Union where she was an active participant as the secretary-general. The experience I am going to tell you is that I went hiking last Saturday in a mountain near my city, which was something I always wanted to do. After breakfast, I packed some food and bottled water, put on my most comfortable shoes and took the bus to the mountain foot. Then my hiking began.
